The
Visualizer is a feature in COPLINK Detect TM that
allows you to retrieve information from a database and display
a found associations results set in a graphical display.
COPLINK Visualizer displays association sets in a graphical
display conveying information in several useful views and
permitting user drill-down to underlying details. Matched
objects are organized in a two dimensional geometry so that
related objects are located in close proximity. Objects that
have many relationships form a large node and ones with fewer
relationships form a smaller node.
It
is now possible for you to see an interrelated visual map of
investigative leads that were previously unknown. The Visualizer
features two general
strategies in seeking association leads:

Find
Associations
- allows you to search for associations among unknown entities
resulting in a wide range of specific association information
(a vague person description and address range may display
specific person names and associated addresses)

Find Path
–
that allows you to explore unknown associations among known
entities (persons named Joe A and Jim B may display a link
between the two that also displays a third person the two have
in common).

COPLINK Administration has all the tools necessary for
management of the COPLINK Solution Suite.
System administrators can adjust security protocols by adding
and deleting users and groups access permissions and user
suspensions, and resetting user passwords.
With system-wide security in mind,
COPLINK
Administration™
allows access to the COPLINK®
Solution Suite through a combination of passwords and
authorisation tables. An administrator may assign users to groups
with different levels of sensitive data access. Automatic
time-out functionality is also incorporated into the system to
limit casual passersby access from unattended computer
workstations. Other utilities include performing
audits and maintaining system look-up tables.

COPLINK Mobile
is the latest addition to the COPLINK Suite of applications
as is effectively a compact version of the desktop software,
though obviously running on PDA or tablet devices, some of
the functionality is governed by the more limited screen space. However,
COPLINK Mobile allows officers to securely access information
from any remote location using GPRS communications, so
permitting searches and detective work to be performed
anywhere, even at crime scenes.
Knowledge Computing Corporation are currently working with
Orbitron Technologies in the UK to further enhance the
functionality of COPLINK Mobile, providing additional form
support, rich media features, GPS capabilities and adapting
the COPLINK application to use other communication networks
for PDA and Smartphone technologies.
